What this lesson covers
Patterns can be updated forwards as price develops and also backwards as earlier structure becomes clearer, and this lesson covers the second case. The example begins with a one and a two and a probable third tap, most likely producing a boomerang, in confluence with a valid pattern. That is a reasonable expectation: a fake out at the third tap followed by a drop. The lesson then shows how the pattern is updated once that resolves, and how looking back at the earlier structure with the new information can change which pattern was actually the relevant one. Working in both directions keeps your chart current rather than anchored to a drawing you made hours ago.
