What this lesson covers
This lesson sets out what makes a three aces valid and, just as importantly, what does not. It starts from the most basic case, which is three aces formed from two patterns, and works through the example on the chart: a smaller pattern, a larger one and the point of interest where they meet. That combination looks like a three aces and is often traded as one, but it only accounts for two confluences, and the lesson is precise about why that falls short. The invalidation rules follow from the same logic. Knowing them keeps you from taking a setup that resembles the pattern without meeting the criteria, which is where most of the losses in this particular formation come from.
