What this lesson covers
This is the first session of a live simulation on the Australian dollar against the US dollar, replaying September 2015 bar by bar with the group. The format is deliberately interactive: members can unmute, use the annotation tool on the chart and put forward their own reads before the next candle is revealed. Simulation of this kind is the closest thing to live trading that can be done in a group, because nobody in the room knows what happens next and the decisions have to be made with the same incomplete information you would have at the time. This opening session sets up the market, the account and the rules for the exercise before the trading begins.
