What this lesson covers

A break of structure has to be caused by something, and this lesson identifies the four things that cause it: an imbalance, a bank level, a liquidity pool or a bank block. Knowing which one is behind the break tells you what to expect afterwards. The lesson works through an example containing a clear quasimodo and a very clean break, and shows how to trace the break back to its cause on the chart. Within the BLT method the answer is usually a bank block, and the lesson explains why that is and what it means for where the retest is likely to occur. Identifying cause rather than just recognising the break is what turns a signal into a plan.
