What this lesson covers
The forex market runs around the clock, but it does not behave the same way at every hour. This lesson breaks the day into the Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York sessions and explains what each one is like to trade: which currencies come alive, how wide the ranges tend to be, and where the spreads sit. It gives particular attention to the London and New York overlap, the busiest window of the day and the source of much of the week's movement. From there it works through which hours suit scalping, day trading and swing trading, and which hours are best left alone because thin liquidity turns ordinary moves into unpredictable ones. The result is a trading schedule built around your style rather than your availability.
