What this lesson covers
Technical analysis is the study of price itself, on the argument that everything known about a market is already reflected in what people are willing to pay. This lesson introduces the discipline properly rather than jumping straight to indicators. It covers the core principles, the assumptions the whole approach rests on, and where those assumptions hold up and where they do not. From there it works through the elements that make up a read of a chart: price action, structure, the context around a level, time of day, and the behaviour of participants around obvious areas. It also shows how technical analysis fits into a complete trading plan alongside risk and execution. The aim is to move you from reading charts to thinking in structure.
