What this lesson covers
Not every market is worth trading, and not every year is worth trading in the same way. This lesson deals with volatility, using the difference between recent years as the illustration. In a year when almost everything moves, crypto, stocks, indices and gold together, opportunities are everywhere and the challenge is choosing between them. In quieter conditions the same approach produces small results and a great deal of frustration, and traders respond by forcing setups that are not there. The lesson shows how to recognise the conditions you are actually in, how to identify where the movement has gone when a familiar market goes quiet, and why adjusting your expectations and your targets to volatility is part of the strategy rather than a departure from it.
