What this lesson covers
Knowing how many losses a strategy produces is important. Knowing how you will behave while they happen is more important, and this lesson introduces what Daniel calls the psychological simulator. The idea is to put yourself through the emotional experience of the strategy before it costs you anything: the run of consecutive losses, the trade that reverses just after the stop, the long stretch with nothing to show. A trader who has rehearsed those states is far less likely to abandon the method the first time they arrive for real. The lesson works through how to run the simulation and what to pay attention to while you do, which is your own reactions rather than the results.
