What this lesson covers
This lesson covers adding to an existing position and adjusting the management of one already open. The rules given are specific. Additions are made when the company remains fundamentally undervalued and the wider market trend supports the position, so that the addition is well priced and has momentum behind it rather than only one of the two. Technical confirmation is required alongside the fundamental case, with strong volume and a price break above resistance used to verify that the market agrees. The lesson works through the entry and exit adjustments that follow from an added position, since averaging into a holding changes the risk profile of the whole position.
