What this lesson covers
This lesson brings the investing rules together into a single integrated set for managing positions. Losses are cut early, with a stop placed below the purchase price at a defined percentage, so that no single holding can do serious damage to the portfolio and so that the decision is made in advance rather than emotionally. Profits are realised at a predetermined target measured from the breakout point, securing gains before the market has the opportunity to take them back. The lesson also covers the strategy for adding to positions and how that interacts with the exit rules. Having the full set written down is what makes them followable when a position is actually moving.
