What this lesson covers
Confirmation bias is the tendency to notice the evidence that supports what you already believe and quietly discard the rest. In trading it is particularly destructive, because a chart offers enough information to justify almost any view if you are looking for reasons rather than at the market. The lesson is delivered candidly, as the bias the presenter fights most often himself, along with the processes he introduced to reduce it. It covers how confirmation bias forms an opinion before the analysis begins, how it keeps a trader in a losing position long past the point where the reasoning failed, and what a structured approach to analysis looks like when it is designed to challenge your view rather than support it.
